The objectives of the Technical Committee for Printing are as follows:

  • Facilitating scientific publishing in various scientific and literary disciplines for the faculty members at Sebha University.
  • Enriching the library of Sebha University with specialized scientific and
    cultural books and references that serve both students and researchers.
  • Encouraging researchers in various research fields.
  • Representing Sebha University in national and international forums related to
    the publication of specialized scientific books.
  • Emphasizing the importance of translation as a fundamental tool for engaging with global scientific heritage.
  • Introducing and promoting Arab heritage through the examination and
    presentation of its texts.

The tasks of the Technical Committee for Publications are as follows:

  • Printing and publishing scientific and literary works, including authors publications and translations, for the faculty members of the university. The
    committee ensures a balanced representation of various scientific disciplines at the university, taking into consideration the allocated budget.
  • Commissioning individuals whom the committee deems capable of authoring
    or translating specific books that it considers important for academic practice
    within the university (textbooks).
  • Facilitating collaboration between university administrations, colleges, and scientific departments by involving them in the preparation of scientific
    books that serve the educational process at the university.
  • Determining the value of book transfer agreements in favor of Sebha University in accordance with the relevant regulations at the university.
  • Establishing committees to evaluate the books submitted to the committee for publication purposes.
  • Specifying the proposed number of copies to be printed for each book.
  • Estimating the remuneration for evaluators and linguistic reviewers of the books submitted to the committee for publication purposes.
  • Estimating the financial value of translated books in accordance with the applicable regulations at the university.
