Effect of desert environment of Sirte city on camel breeding

Abstract

 The research has cleared that the camels have a very   High economic value in terms of meat & milk production. It is also play a key roles in Camel Shepherds’ social lives who are living in the desert. However, they are facing some issues due to malnutrition such as fever, diarrhea, and some skin diseases that cause by insects such as Scabies and ticks, Despite camels are extremely important, they have suffered neglect and disinterest in comparison with sheep and cows, Due to the hard conditions that camels are living in, and its economic importance, they encourage Arab and World Scholars to make more studies as it will contribute to solve food issues in some countries, The aim of this research is to diagnose the situation of the camel breeding sector in Libya, as well as contribute to the development of a national strategy for the development of the camel sector, and to study the methods of local breeding and how it can contribute to development, and also to identify ways to develop and improve production and productivity in the research areas.
