 Workshop entitled: the optimal description of programs and decisions

Within the annual plan of the Quality Assurance Office and performance evaluation at the university, the office, in cooperation with the university’s training center, organized a workshop entitled: “The optimal description of programs and decisions” according to the forms issued by the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of educational institutions.

This workshop was held on Wednesday (11 / December / 2019) at nine in the morning in the amphitheater of the University Language Center.

Workshop instructor: Prof. Dr. (Abdel Salam Mohamed Al-Matani).

Importance of the workshop:

 The importance of this workshop is due to its contribution in providing the participants with the skills and capabilities to characterize academic programs, curricula and planning to improve and develop them in light of recent changes, local and global developments, to reach a degree of performance excellence and efficiency in work quality.

Workshop program:

The program of this workshop includes two lectures: the first: on the description of academic programs, according to the forms issued by the National Center for Quality Assurance, and the second: on the description of academic courses.

There will be a practical application to clarify the program and course descriptions system, as well as a panel discussion.

Those who are interested in attending this workshop:

1- Heads of scientific departments. 2- Heads of quality departments in colleges. 3- Departmental Quality Coordinators. 4- Members of the teaching staff of the colleges located in Sebha city, and those residing in the city.

This: The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office at the university, in cooperation with the Training Center, will hold this workshop at the College of Engineering and Technical Sciences: (Colleges located in: Wadi Al-Shati), the College of Education: Ubari, and the College of Education: Ghat, during the current December.

About University

Sabha University was initially established from the College of Education in Sebha as a branch of the University of Tripoli in the year 1976, which later became the nucleus of the first Sebha University. In the beginning of 1983 AD, Decree No. 187 of 1983 of the previous General People's Committee was issued regarding the opening of the University of Sebha as an independent university in the city of Sebha and included in the beginning the colleges of education and science and with the passage of time many colleges were opened according to the needs of the region until the number of university colleges reached twenty-one colleges Spread over different regions of the south, one outside the country.

Where initially included the faculties of education and science and then the faculties of human medicine, agriculture, engineering and technical sciences, economics and accounting until the number of faculties of the university to twenty-two faculties distributed over the different regions of the south. It currently has more than 25,000 students and more than 1300 faculty members and 3500 employees, in addition to 7 research centers spread over the geographical area of the southern region.
