The NATAE project ( Transition to Ecological Agriculture in North Africa) , funded under the Horizon Europe program , aims to…to support and accelerate the transition toward sustainable agricultural systems that are resilient and adaptable to climate change in North Africa through the adoption of agroecological approaches. The project brings together universities, research institutions, international organizations, policymakers, farmers, and local stakeholders with the aim of developing innovative and context-appropriate solutions to enhance agricultural sustainability, protect biodiversity, improve resource efficiency, and support food security. Through knowledge exchange, capacity building, research activities, and the integration of agroecological concepts into education, policies, and agricultural practices, the NATAE project contributes to strengthening the resilience of agricultural systems in North Africa to future challenges, while strengthening cooperation between the scientific community and local communities.
