The preparatory committee for the Hijra workshop holds an expanded meeting.

In the presence of Dr. Masoud Emhammed Al-Raqeeq, President of the University,
and chaired by Mr. Mohammed Hamid Mahrez, Director of the University’s International Cooperation Office, and members of the working team, the preparatory committee for the workshop of the capacity building project “Hijra”, funded by the European Union, held an expanded meeting on Thursday morning (January 2, 2025 AD) at the International Cooperation to follow up the necessary preparations for holding the workshop during the current month.

The meeting discussed the latest developments related to the technical and logistical preparations for organizing the workshop, which aims to enhance academic cooperation in the field of migration studies and institutional capacity building.

The workshop is expected to witness wide participation from Libyan universities, including the universities of Tobruk, Tripoli, Zawiya, Gulf of Sidra, as well as prominent European universities such as the University of Rome Sapienza in Italy and the University of Barcelona in Spain, in addition to the Union of Euro-Mediterranean Universities: Rome Sapienza University of Italy, the University of Barcelona of Spain, as well as the Union of Euro-Mediterranean Universities.

It is worth noting that the organization of this workshop comes within the efforts of Sabha University to strengthen international partnerships and contribute to joint research and development projects that serve the academic and research community in the southern region in particular, and Libya in general.
