Consequently, English teachers can guide their students in utilizing these technological tools to enhance their understanding of drama. Current learners are digital natives, familiar with technology, which highlights the importance for English teachers to integrate visual aids into their teaching strategies, especially when teaching English as a foreign language. Teachers should focus on key literary techniques, such as figures of speech, style and context, and narrative structure, to enhance students' analytical skills. Exploring character development and relationships, as well as encouraging the identification of themes and symbols, further deepens students' comprehension. By emphasizing these areas, educators can cultivate a richer understanding of literature. Many students feel overwhelmed by the linguistic complexity of literary texts. However, they have the opportunity to appreciate film adaptations of well-known dramas in English. An effective way to understand and value literary texts is through careful analysis of their language and components. Language teachers should help students recognize how the text functions and the specific meanings it conveys. One approach is to select a passage from a drama and pair it with a corresponding film clip. For instance, an extract from Arthur Miller's *Death of a Salesman* can be used in this way. The findings of the study indicated that the majority of students believe that viewing the film enhances their understanding of the drama. They also found the drama/film (D/F) technique particularly helpful, as it improves both their linguistic and metalinguistic skills, preparing them to better comprehend the visual elements on screen.
Ramadan Shalbag Emhemmed Albeckai Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Human Sciences 2024-10-30 2024-10-30 23 2 127 130 10.51984/johs.v23i2.3625 Challenges and Solutions of Electronic learning among EFL Students at Sebha University https://sebhau.edu.ly/journal/johs/article/view/3585
This study aims to investigate the obstacles and challenges that have been encountered by EFL students at Sebha University when implemented to electronic learning system, as well as to find out the suitable solutions for these problems. There is hardly a poet’s collection that does not contain descriptions of nature, singing of its beauty, and fascination with its beauty. Nature poetry does not stop at the purpose of description only, but we see it present in all poetic purposes. Because the poets of Andalusia were influenced by the beauty of its captivating nature, its picturesque composition, and the manifestations of civilization and architecture prevailing throughout it. The poets of Granada had their abundant share of descriptive poetry. Granada combined the picturesque nature that captivates the mind, and the cultural richness represented by the splendor of buildings, including palaces, houses, squares and roads. Despite the poets’ fascination with the beauty of Andalusia, they were not at the same level in the art of description. There were those who dominated descriptive poetry and mixed with most of its purposes, and among these was Ibn Zamrak, who is considered one of the most prominent poets of description as a whole. These two poets share a set of themes that reveal their leniency towards Islamic jurisprudence. Using a descriptive analytical approach, this article attempts to illustrate the common themes in the wine poetry of Abu Hindi and Khayyam in his quatrains and compare them, to highlight the differences in their presentation styles. The study concludes that Khayyam utilized his philosophy to convey his ideas, presenting reasons and logical arguments, and benefiting from religious intertextuality, whereas Abu Hindi's style was simple and clear, and other results that we will present in our paper, which aims to clarify the intentions of ancient poets in resorting to wine, and what wine required of the poet's departure from the norm, the importance of the research lies in the fact that it is the first study that aims to comparison between these two poets, and the first that studies those themes in both of them poets.
Buthaina Shemous Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Human Sciences 2024-10-08 2024-10-08 23 2 107 116 10.51984/johs.v23i2.3449 Dahir of May 16, 1930 AD - Ma’rib’s exterior and internal contradictions https://sebhau.edu.ly/journal/johs/article/view/2724
In this research, we present and discuss a very sensitive issue, given its connection to the conscience of the Moroccan nation. With the death of Ptolemy Apion in 96 BC, ownership of the Ptolemaic properties in Cerenaica was transferred to the Romans. As a result of the danger posed by the local tribes, it was necessary to pay attention to the Roman defensive fortifications there, in order to impose To achieve this goal, the Romans followed a military strategy that relied on three aspects to achieve it: auxiliary military divisions, main forts, and roads. The Romanian military strategy relied on the stability of elements of the Romanian military divisions that assisted it. The Romans used the local population to form these auxiliary teams, and in this aspect, literary and archaeological sources provided important data about the stability of the elements of the auxiliary military teams in Cyrenaica. The Romans worked on constructing defensive fortifications to serve as headquarters for the soldiers of the auxiliary teams operating in Cirinaica. The Roman military strategy aimed to fortify the borders of the state, in line with the geographical division of the state. A group of watchtowers or guard towers were also erected. The Roman military planning strategy required the establishment of two types of them, the first It was built for the purpose of strengthening fort gates and walls. As for the second type, it was built in isolated areas on the Roman border and was built individually. As for the roads, the Roman interest in the road network in Cerenaica began in the middle of the first century AD. The Romans worked to improve the road system by reclaiming and maintaining it, and erecting millstones along its length to determine the distances between regions. It seems clear that the Roman road system in Cerenaica in general Simple, as it is made up of main roads linking parts of the state, its main cities, and the interior regions.
Mohamed Ali . abushahma Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Human Sciences 2024-09-04 2024-09-04 23 2 52 68 10.51984/johs.v23i2.3273 The concept of security in the Holy Quran: Its derivatives, and its importance in life https://sebhau.edu.ly/journal/johs/article/view/3270
This research deals with an analytical study in the field of interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, as it includes security verses and their derivatives in the Holy Qur’an. Yet, especially Yusuf Paşa with his tadbir (Ar.) [governing through taking measures] application carried the implication of this jurisdiction to a global tributary system that all European states as well as USA obeyed. The ignorance of the historians from Europe and USA about the Ottoman Foreign jurisdiction led them to believe that the tributary system of Tripoli was “piracy”. A thorough examination shows that actually even some European and USA consuls in the 19th century were aware of the fact that the tributary system had nothing to do with piracy, but they named this system in this way to express their dissatisfaction. In reality, Yusuf Paşa of Tripoli was successfully applying Ottoman Foreign jurisdiction in form of tributary system. Furthermore, between 1790s and 1835, he was so successful on this application that this system became a global politic in the Mediterranean without using any brute force.
Kerem Duymus Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Human Sciences 2024-09-22 2024-09-22 23 2 84 90 10.51984/johs.v23i2.3097 Kimiyya da Fasaha: Nazarin Wasu Zantukan Hikima .
