Practical Objectives:
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Perform hematological tests; estimation of blood Hb, determination of the hematocrit value, the bleeding &clotting times and blood groups.
- Perform the most important respiratory function tests.
- Perform the measurement of the arterial blood pressure.
- Manipulate a stethoscope for hearing heart and respiratory sounds.
- Record and read an electrocardiogram.
- Present physiological scientific data in a graphical form.

- Written examination to assess knowledge and understanding and intellectual skills. Consists of both midterm examinations of a total of 60 marks (20%) and final written examination of a total of 180 marks. (60%)

- Practical examination to assess practical skills in diagnosis of different tissues under the microscope total of 30 marks. (10%)
