The department aspires to be one of the distinguished academic and research centers in the fields of earth sciences, and aspires to contribute effectively to achieving sustainable development in Libya.<\/p>\n

Mssion<\/strong><\/p>\n

Contribute to preparing distinguished and highly qualified cadres of scientific and practical knowledge that enables them to participate in the development and service of Libya and society in their field of specialization.<\/p>\n

  2. Conducting studies and research that contribute to making use of national natural resources such as oil, natural gas and mineral ores, as well as dealing with chronic environmental problems, water scarcity and desertification.<\/li>\n

  4. Supervising the implementation of engineering projects such as roads, bridges, dams, tunnels and deep water wells from a geological point of view.<\/li>\n
