The Community Service and Environmental Development Centre at Sebha University was established by University Council Decision No. (18) of 2019, in accordance with Article No. (22) of the Organisational Structure of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (2008). It is an educational, scientific, training, research, community, and environmental unit. The centre works to provide a distinguished administrative, research, scientific, community, and environmental working environment, with the aim of offering social and environmental services that meet the needs of the university and the community, and to establish an active role in society by utilising available resources to enhance the university’s reputation locally and internationally.

Promoting volunteer work in the local community based on professional and institutional principles, avoiding randomness and seasonality in volunteering, through promoting this concept and enhancing the idea of sustainable development that focuses on people and encourages investment in human resources.
