Abstract

Economic factors such as poverty, unemployment, and economic inequality within the state are regarded as fundamental drivers that compel citizens to seek better employment opportunities abroad, thereby contributing to an increase in irregular migration and intensifying social and political tensions. In this context, it can be argued that the implementation of comprehensive developmental policies aimed at creating new job opportunities and mitigating poverty constitutes an effective strategy to counter this phenomenon. Moreover, improving the business environment and boosting investments in infrastructure, education, and technology helps to alleviate the economic pressures that drive individuals to leave their homeland through irregular channels. Furthermore, reducing the number of irregular migrants has a direct positive impact on national security, as it lowers the risks associated with organized crime and smuggling, thereby contributing to the stabilization of communities and enhancing the state’s ability to protect its borders and national interests.
