The reality of illegal immigration in Algeria

Abstract

Algeria is one of the most affected countries in North Africa by the phenomenon of illegal immigration, or "harqa" as it is known in Algerian society. And to address this, the legislator has stipulated legal and security mechanisms to combat this phenomenon. Nevertheless, the numbers are concerning and increasing for illegal immigration. The objective of this article is to identify the real reasons and factors behind the Algerian youth's resort to illegal immigration and its repercussions, and to propose some solutions to mitigate it
