تظهر هذه الدراسة تطبيق أداة محاكاة OPNET لتقييم خدمات الصوت عبر بروتوكول الإنترنت (VoIP) على شبكات MPLS باستخدام بروتوكول RSVP كآلية لجودة الخدمة، مع استخدام SIP أو H.323 كبروتوكولات إشارة لإقامة محادثات VoIP عبر الإنترنت. أظهرت النتائج أن بروتوكول H.323 مع RSVP على شبكات MPLS أسفر عن تأخير أقل من النهاية إلى النهاية مقارنة ببروتوكول SIP، مما يجعله خيارًا مثاليًا للإشارة في خدمات VoIP عبر شبكات MPLS حيث يكون الحد الأدنى من التأخير بين النهايات أمرًا ضروريًا. على العكس، أظهر بروتوكول SIP أقل تأخير في التذبذب وأدنى وقت لإعداد المكالمات.
