  • Review and update the university's strategy, mission, and primary goals in light of developments and developments to develop and update the educational process.
  • Assist the university faculties in activating and supervising their quality assurance departments and providing them with advice to conduct self-evaluation studies, preparation and preparation in order to apply for institutional and program accreditation.
  • Establish mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the activities of the university, its centers, departments, offices, colleges, departments, and various academic and administrative programs, by following and monitoring the deficiencies in the individual colleges, and in the centers, departments and offices, and preparing and submitting reports to the university council that include the office notes, plans and proposals for development and addressing shortcomings.
  • Carry out field visits to university centers, departments, offices and colleges to ensure quality assurance.
  • Collecting and analyzing the results of the internal audit committees, stating the negatives and positives, and submitting proposals to develop the performance of the different colleges or departments as a basic step for applying for institutional and program accreditation.
  • Participate in updating the university's vision and mission.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the university's strategic plans, centers, departments, offices and colleges affiliated with the university.
  • Create a database for the programs and degrees granted by the university, and for all centers, departments and offices in the university in order to follow the development of the educational process.
  • Disseminating information related to quality assurance and accreditation mechanisms; To raise awareness among the faculty, all university employees, and students of the importance of implementing a quality assurance system.
  • Communicating with the corresponding offices in other Libyan universities and academies to benefit and exchange experiences with them.
  • Carrying out direct communication and coordination with the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center for educational and training institutions to follow up on evaluation and accreditation processes of all kinds.
  • Refer the reports to the university president, including the pros and cons resulting from internal and external auditing.
  • To suggest standards related to the quality of university education, offer them for accreditation and follow them.
  • To suggest performance evaluation and quality control standards for university education components related to university professor, curricula, laboratories, university buildings, university departments, centers and offices.
  • Supervising the exchange of information with specialized regional and international bodies, comparing the standards applied in its university and colleges with what is applied to the university or its colleges and working to develop them.
  • Suggesting the establishment of work procedures, rules and guidelines for developing performance and ensuring the quality of education at the university.
  • Conducting studies in order to approach the outcomes of university education with the needs of the labor market, and provide recommendations in this regard.
  • Preparing periodic and annual follow-up reports on the office's activity.

Tasks of the office manager::

  • Chairing meetings of heads of quality departments in colleges, departments and centers at the university.
  • Organizing work inside the office.
  • Technical supervision of the directors of quality offices in colleges, departments and centers at the university.
  • Participate in preparing plans related to the office's activity.
  • Participation in the work of the committees related to the nature of the office's work.
  • Participation in workshops, conferences and seminars related to the nature of the office's work, at home and abroad.
  • Preparing periodic and annual follow-up reports on the office's activity.
  • Any other tasks assigned to it by the university president.

  • Spreading the culture of institutional academic accreditation at the university.
  • Providing technical support to meet institutional accreditation requirements.
  • Qualification of university units to obtain institutional academic accreditation.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the progress of the university's accreditation work.
  • Follow-up to the preparation of the academic institutional self-study.
  • Technical review of colleges, administration and support offices.
  • Follow-up to documenting university institutional accreditation.

The tasks of the Program Accreditation Department::

  • Spreading the culture of institutional academic accreditation at the university.
  • Providing technical support to meet institutional accreditation requirements.
  • Qualification of academic programs that are candidates for obtaining academic accreditation.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the progress of the university's accreditation work.
  • Follow-up to the preparation of the academic institutional self-study.
  • Qualification of academic programs that are candidates for obtaining academic accreditation.

The tasks of the Quality Assurance Department::

  • Follow up and review the quality of course descriptions and academic programs.
  • Spreading the culture of quality and providing the necessary advice and technical support to the various authorities in the field of planning and quality assurance.

  • Follow-up to documenting university institutional accreditation.

The tasks of the evaluation and measurement department::

  • Providing technical support and scientific consultations in the field of measurement and evaluation.
  • Preparing and developing measurement and evaluation tools to contribute to achieving justice and raising the efficiency of educational outcomes.
  • Follow up and review the quality of the results of measuring performance indicators at the university level.
  • Follow up and review the quality of the results of measuring education output indicators for academic programs at the university.
  • Follow-up on the procedures of the Rector’s Award for Quality and Excellence.
  • Conducting and disseminating scientific research in the field of measurement and evaluation.
  • Preparing the required data and statistics in the field of quality and academic accreditation.
  • Preparing final reports of performance indicators at the university's institutional and programmatic level.
  • Proposing development recommendations in light of the results of reports and research in the field of quality and academic accreditation.
  • Study the results of the annual reports for the performance of the deanship units and propose appropriate development recommendations.

The tasks of the Planning Department::

  • Oversee the preparation of the office's operational plan and follow up on its implementation.
