الخطة الدراسية العامة

تكون مدة الدراسة بالكلية للحصول على درجة البكالوريوس في طب وجراحة الفم والأسنان (خمس سنوات) تتلوها سنة تدريبية ( الامتياز ) وتقسم مدة الدراسة على النحو التالي:

المرحلة الأولى : اعداد طب

ومدتها سنة دراسية جامعية واحدة تتبع كلية العلوم من الناحية العلمية, أما من الناحية الإدارية فهي تتبع كلية طب و جراحة الفم و الأسنان.

المرحلة الثانية :

ما قبل السريرية و مدتها سنتان دراسيتان و تشمل: السنة الأولى و السنة الثانية

المرحلة الثالثة  :

المرحلة السريرية “العيادية” و مدتها سنتان دراسيتان و تشمل :السنة الثالثة و السنة الرابعة.

المرحلة الرابعة  : ( الامتياز ) 

ومدتها (12) اثني عشر شهرا تبدأ عقب اعتماد نتائج السنة الرابعة  وتنتهي  بحصول الطالب على درجة  البكالوريوس في طب وجراحة الفم والاسنان.

نظام الدراسة  بالكلية

أولاً/المواد التي يجب أن يدرسها الطالب للحصول ونيل درجة البكالوريوس في طب وجراحة الفم والأسنان.

 (1) المواد العامة وتشمل:

الكيمياء، الاحياء، الفيزياء، تاريخ ليبيا، لغة إنجليزية، لغة عربية ,  إحصاء , ,تاريخ العلوم.

(2) علوم طبية أساسية وتشمل:

وظائف الأعضاء، تشريح عام، الأنسجة العامة، الكيمياء الحيوية، الأحياء الدقيقة، علم الأمراض العامة، علم الأدوية، الجراحة العامة، الباطنة العامة.

(3) علوم طب الأسنان التخصصية وتشمل:

التشريح الوصفي للأسنان- أنسجة فموية- خواص مواد الأسنان- الاستعاضة الصناعية المتحركة- التركيبات الثابتة-العلاج التحفظي للأسنان-علاج الجذور- تقويم الأسنان- أمراض الفم- طب الفم والتشخيص والأشعة-علاج أمراض اللثة- جراحة الفم و الوجه الفكين- زراعة الأسنان- طب أسنان الأطفال- طب الأسنان الوقائي والمجتمعي.

ثانياً/مدة الدراسة :

– تبدأ الدراسة في الأسبوع الأخير من شهر اكتوبر وتنتهي في نهاية شهر مايو من كل عام  مالم يطرأ أي ظرف استثنائي  يجيز تغيير المدة .

ثالثا/ مراحل وساعات الدراسة:

– تحدد ساعات الدراسة النظرية والعملية لكل مادة

Sebha University:

This Syllabus is considered to be valid / effective for all graduates from Sebha University since the foundation of the university until this date.

Introduction:

The Faculty of dentistry, Sebha University was opened in the year 1992 as one of the 9-10 faculties of Sebha University. The intake of students varied between 20-25 students in early years to 50-60 students in the recent years, male and female students are eligible and study together.

The dental faculty is located near the main Sebha university campus and adjacent to the medical faculty in which dental students are taught basic dental sciences. The faculty is near science faculty in which dental students undertake their pre dental course.

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) course run by the dental faculty is designed as follows:

• Pre dental : one year
• Pre clinical: two years
• Clinical: two years
• Internship: one year

The main building houses the faculty, administrative block, library, lecture rooms, laboratories and nineteen clinical dental units for treatment procedures and an additional 3 units for diagnosis. The adjacent building houses another 12 dental units.    

The objectives of the dental faculty are:

1. Producing quality dentists and other oral health personnel.
2. Service to the local and regional community.
3. Undertaking research projects in oral health aspects.
4. Collaboration with similar faculties and institutions including students and teaching staff exchange program.
5. Protecting and enhance the quality of Environment.
6. Conducting Continuing dental education programs and conferences for updating the knowledge and practice of dentistry.
7. Offering postgraduate studies.

The curriculum:

            The B.D.S., curriculum is a basic subject oriented curriculum with behavioral objectives for each subject taught. Subjects are integrated vertically and horizontally. The student undertakes continuous assessments through the years of study. English is the medium of teaching except for few subjects.
