The Requirements Of Environmental Sanitation to Contribute to The Development of Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture

Abstract

This research was primarily aimed at identifying the requirements of environmental sanitation to contribute to the development of urban and peri-urban agriculture, after taking the human green light to control the nature and claimed the ability to know all its secrets, which led to the depletion of natural resources, so ,study aims to investigate on opinions staff of environmental sanitation from municipality of almrj on the role of environmental sanitation in the development of urban and peri-urban agriculture. data were collected through the use of questionnaires on a sample of the staff of  environmental sanitation  in the study area. a total of  (27) questionnaires were distributed to staff where 20 responded. a quantitative data analysis approach was used to analyze the data (SPSS), The main findings of the study are the existence of requirements, in addition to several obstacles, of which 75% of the staff respondents fully agreed that the main constraints are the limited budget allocated to the Office of Environmental Hygiene, While 85% of them fully agree that the most important requirements of the Office of Environmental Hygiene is the preparation and training of new graduates and the scientific and professional preparation in the field of environmental sanitation. Accordingly, the study recommended that policies, regulations and laws that assist environmental sanitation should be developed to contribute to the development of urban and peri-urban agriculture.
