  • Research experience:
  1. MSc project, studying the sodium potassium ATPase and co-transport system in the RBCs of the essential hypertension patients.
  2. Isolation and identification of light chains of Pence Jones protein in the urine of myloma patients.
  3. PhD project, production and development of assay to the hPTH. Production of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies to the hPTH N-terminal fragment using mouse myloma and cell fusion. Production of rat, sheep, goat and cross species monoclonal antibodies to different fragments of the hormone. Development of different ELISA assays to hPTH and fragments.
  4. The production of anti-idiotypic antibodies to adenosine and ADP. The use of these antibodies in the study of platelet aggregation.

Research interests:

  1. The production of poly and monoclonal antibodies to peptides, and the development of assay methods.
  2. Determination of Reference and Normal ranges to the plasma/serum biochemical profile.
  3. The effects and use of agonists and antagonists of platelet aggregation.
  4. The lipid profile and its relation to different diseases.
  5. Hormonal disturbances and their diagnosis in pre- and post-menopausal age.
