Vision :

Preparing architects who possess the ability and have the means to achieve the goals and objectives in creating an architectural environment that is visually and environmentally respectful and values ​​the local Libyan heritage and identity by providing comprehensive and high-quality education, supported by applied research and professional skills, critical thinking, teamwork, discipline and moral values, which It prepares students for a career and lifetime of learning, and to make education an ongoing process that is not limited to university study only.

The Department of Architecture and Urban Planning seeks to provide a distinct and varied scientific subject at the educational and applied level that motivates the student to get acquainted with all aspects that affect the profession that he will practice after his graduation, and prepare intellectually and scientifically qualified architects who have the ability to develop visions and understand society and extrapolate its requirements in the field Architecture to find solutions and contribute to advancing progress.

Goals :

The program generally aims to prepare highly skilled engineers and leaders in engineering project management in the field of architecture and city planning through:

• Presenting architects with a variety of academic backgrounds, experiences and interests.
• Provide students with knowledge and learning based on skills that are essential to successful architectural practices.
• Encouraging students to be creative, creative and experienced.
• Linking theoretical aspects to design aspects and making them a field of application and creativity.
• Graduating an architect with a lot of experience needed to be able to face the challenges of the labor market.
• Focus on new research issues related to architecture to keep pace with global developments.
• Building a permanent dialogue with civil society and the government to participate in the development of Libyan society.
• Knowledge of a comprehensive, coordinated and organized set of knowledge in the field of architecture and city planning, and the theories and principles related to this field.
