مشروع ENBRAIN – تعزيز القدرات في مجال الطاقة المتجددة والمستدامة في ليبيا

ENBRAIN project (Strengthening Capacities in Renewable and Sustainable Energy in Libya) is an international cooperation initiative funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Higher Education Capacity Building Projects (KA2). The project aims to strengthen the capacities of Libyan higher education institutions in the field of renewable and sustainable energy by developing innovative teaching methods, improving academic programs, and cultivating the knowledge and skills necessary to address future energy challenges.

ENBRAIN project brings together a number of Libyan universities and European partners. It is coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), in collaboration with the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED), Barcelona University (Spain), and the University of Évora (Portugal), as well as several Libyan universities, including Sebha University , University of Tripoli, University of Misrata, the Sirte University , and Zawiya University . Through this international partnership, the project contributes to building institutional capacity, strengthening academic cooperation, and facilitating the exchange of expertise between Libyan and European higher education institutions.

The primary objective of the ENBRAIN project is to develop and enhance education and scientific research in the field of renewable and sustainable energy by establishing a modern educational platform based on the development of new academic courses, e-learning methods, digital tools, and innovative teaching approaches. The project has also contributed to the design and development of a Master’s program in Renewable and Sustainable Energy at Libyan universities, in addition to supporting the creation of training courses and open educational resources to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable energy among students, researchers, and the community.

Through its various activities, which include curriculum development, capacity-building programs, workshops, laboratory establishment, and the promotion of international cooperation, the ENBRAIN project contributes to preparing a new generation of specialists capable of addressing global energy challenges and supporting Libya’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions. The project represents a significant step in strengthening the role of Libyan universities in renewable energy education, research, and innovation, and in achieving sustainable development.

يُعد مشروع ENBRAIN (تعزيز القدرات في مجال الطاقة المتجددة والمستدامة في ليبيا) مبادرة للتعاون الدولي ممولة من الاتحاد الأوروبي ضمن برنامج إيراسموس+ (Erasmus+) – مشاريع بناء القدرات في مجال التعليم العالي (KA2). ويهدف المشروع إلى تعزيز قدرات مؤسسات التعليم العالي الليبية في مجال الطاقات المتجددة والمستدامة من خلال تطوير أساليب تعليمية مبتكرة، وتحسين البرامج الأكاديمية، وتنمية المعرفة والمهارات اللازمة لمواجهة تحديات الطاقة المستقبلية.

يجمع مشروع ENBRAIN بين عدد من الجامعات الليبية والشركاء الأوروبيين، حيث يتم تنسيقه من قبل جامعة البوليتكنيك في تورينو (إيطاليا)، بالتعاون مع اتحاد جامعات البحر الأبيض المتوسط (UNIMED)، وجامعة برشلونة (إسبانيا)، وجامعة إيفورا (البرتغال)، بالإضافة إلى عدد من الجامعات الليبية، من بينها جامعة سبها، وجامعة طرابلس، وجامعة مصراتة، وجامعة سرت، وجامعة الزاوية. ومن خلال هذه الشراكة الدولية، يساهم المشروع في بناء القدرات المؤسسية، وتعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي، وتبادل الخبرات بين مؤسسات التعليم العالي الليبية والأوروبية.

يتمثل الهدف الرئيسي لمشروع ENBRAIN في تطوير وتعزيز التعليم والبحث العلمي في مجال الطاقة المتجددة والمستدامة من خلال إنشاء منصة تعليمية حديثة تعتمد على تطوير مقررات أكاديمية جديدة، وأساليب التعليم الإلكتروني، والأدوات الرقمية، وطرق التدريس المبتكرة. كما ساهم المشروع في تصميم وتطوير برنامج ماجستير في الطاقة المتجددة والمستدامة في الجامعات الليبية، إلى جانب دعم إنشاء دورات تدريبية وموارد تعليمية مفتوحة لرفع الوعي بأهمية الطاقة المستدامة لدى الطلبة والباحثين والمجتمع.

ومن خلال أنشطته المختلفة، التي تشمل تطوير المناهج الدراسية، وبرامج بناء القدرات، وورش العمل، وإنشاء المختبرات، وتعزيز التعاون الدولي، يساهم مشروع ENBRAIN في إعداد جيل جديد من المتخصصين القادرين على التعامل مع تحديات الطاقة العالمية ودعم توجه ليبيا نحو حلول الطاقة المستدامة. ويمثل المشروع خطوة مهمة في تعزيز دور الجامعات الليبية في مجالات تعليم وبحث وابتكار الطاقة المتجددة وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
