About the Journal

The Journal of Medical Sciences (JOMS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Sebha University, Libya (ISSN 2706-9443 Online; 2708-8553 Print). JOMS publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications across the medical and health sciences. It welcomes submissions from all regions and gives particular attention to research on health challenges in Libya, the MENA region, and the Sahel.

• Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
• Free to read and openly accessible immediately upon publication.
• One volume per year in two regular issues, with continuous online publication; occasional special issues are published in addition.
• All submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using Turnitin. The journal follows the standards of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors).
