Abstract

This study aimed to identify the analysis of the reality of educational policies , to identify their role to achieve the knowledge society in Libyan universities, and also tried to reveal the differences between the faculty members on their assessment of the role of Al-mergib university in achieving the knowledge society according to the gender, specialization, scientific degree,Study methodology: this  study adopted   descriptive and analytical approach, by collecting its primary data by distributing a questionnaire  to a sample from   faculty members at Al-mergib  University,The results showed that the educational policies of the University according to the estimates of faculty members were weak, and that the analysis of the reality of the educational policies of Libyan universities indicates a failure to meet the economic, social and ethical needs that must be, The results also indicated that there were no significant differences between the responses of the sample members to assess the role of the University's educational policies in the production of knowledge ,The researchers recommend updating the policies and regulations governing Libyan universities combining innovation and realism in line with the latest developments of the current era and increasing spending on  scientific research and directing it to solve the problems of  Libyan society.
