The Department of Economic Planning seeks to give the student a clear picture of the most basic concepts of economic planning at all levels (micro and college) in a scientific style and analysis.

Seek to open broad horizons and rise to the effective contribution in building the edifice of the national economy and to the advancement of academic work and to be a pioneer, model and reference in the field of scientific research.

Mission

• Preparing academic scientific cadres specialized in the field of economic planning for the university stage.
• Conduct applied theoretical scientific research.
• Providing consulting services and training in various planning fields.

Objectives:

• Providing trained and qualified personnel in the field of planning and bridging the deficit in such specialization in the Libyan market.
• Spreading a culture of creativity and leadership among different economic organizations through the use of a planning method in managing their resources and making optimal use of them.
• Contributing in spreading accurate and modern specializations in Libyan educational institutions.
• Contributing to the development of planning science and its applications and cooperation in the fields of planning locally and internationally.
