Abstract

This research aims to study the characteristics of magnetic water used in irrigation operations in three areas in the south of Libya, and these properties are the surface tension, density, pH, and electrical conductivity. The results showed that the value of surface tension of magnetic water decreased by 18% for the Wadi Etba site, 31% for the Tmnhent site, and 39% for the Sebha site; the density of the magnetic water for the three sites increased by ~2%; the viscosity decreased for the three sites; the pH increased by 4.4% for the Sebha site, 7.6% for the Wadi Etba site, and 1.2% for the Tmnhent site; and the electrical conductivity of magnetic water increased for the three locations.
