Vision, Mission and Objectives Department of Chemistry, College of Science Sebha University

VISION

The vision of the Department of Chemistry stems from the vision of the College of Science and the vision of the University of Sebha, that the department occupy a leading position in education, scientific research, and community service.

Mission

The department of chemistry derives its message from the general mission adopted by the university in terms of working to advance society in scientific terms through:

1. Graduating a generation of qualified graduates who are able to advance development and creativity in society by providing a suitable scientific environment for students.
2. Developing the scientific reality directly related to chemistry science in order to serve the community
3. The development of scientific research in the field of chemistry to keep pace with scientific progress
4. Communicating with the community institutions in order to develop them and provide them with scientific expertise in order to develop their performance in a way that serves the community.

 Department goals

• Providing a distinguished level of curricula, programs and services related to studying chemistry.
• Teaching chemistry to students of the department and other departments in the College of Science and some colleges of the university
• Providing the community with qualified graduates with a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various chemistry and practical applications in a way that serves the field of future work
• Conducting targeted and advanced scientific research and keeping pace with the scientific progress
• Contribute to solving scientific problems that contribute to the service of the development plan in Libya by providing scientific and applied consultations and experiences to institutions and companies
• Scientific and technical communication with scientific colleges in other universities, in the interest of exchanging scientific experiences and enriching knowledge related to chemistry.
• Encouraging faculty members in the department to produce innovative scientific research and participate in local and international scientific conferences and specialized and public seminars
• And meeting the quality standards in preparing and qualifying distinguished graduates at the local and regional levels through developing programs and curricula and interacting with Libyan and international universities.
