About the general department of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sebha University

The beginning was with the establishment of the Higher Institute of Physical Education in the city of Ghat, according to the decision of the General People's Committee No. (740) of the year (1986 AD). Physical decision of the General People's Committee No. (59) of (1992 AD).

Physical education science falls under the category of applied sciences, not humanities, because more than 70% of its materials are of a scientific nature, for example but not limited to (Anatomy - Physiology - Biomechanics - Statistics - Kinesiology - Health Education and Nutrition - Sports injuries) - First aid - physical therapy - bodybuilding, modified sport) in addition to practical practical materials.

It was reorganized after the return of a large batch of faculty members who graduated from different scientific schools. At the international level, and in line with the growing interest in qualifying specialized cadres with postgraduate degrees and in all physical education and sports programs (teaching, training, sports management, movement science, anatomical and functional sciences, rehabilitation and physical therapy).
