Factors affecting unemployment among fresh graduates Applied study of the University of sebha
Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the different factors that contribute to the unemployment problem of the university of Sebha graduates. The majority of the data used in this study was obtained through questionnaires, specifically designed to allow data analysis using Leekert’s five points system. The questionnaires were distributed on 260 graduates of the University of Sebha, this included the school of agriculture, the school of literature and the school of Life sciences. The study revealed that there are numerous reasons behind the graduates unemployment problem, one of them is the proportionality between the existing workforce and the available job opportunities. Additional factors include inadequate training, lack of informational base and the social stigma associated with some jobs which collectively negatively affect the employability rate amongst university graduates.
