Student Activity Administration
This office specializes in preparing plans for student activities and implementing them in cultural, literary, artistic, and sports fields. It organizes festivals, camps, exhibitions, competitions, and university events. Additionally, it forms and supports teams in various areas with the aim of discovering and nurturing talents, promoting teamwork and collaboration, fostering positive competition and excellence, and adding value to academic achievement at the university level.
The responsibilities of this Administration include:
- Developing and presenting plans related to cultural student activities at the university.
- Creating timetables for implementing approved plans while considering academic schedules, exams, and holidays.
- Designing, distributing, compiling, and analyzing forms to identify talents in literary, cultural, and artistic domains and supporting and encouraging them.
- Organizing cultural, literary, and artistic festivals involving Faculties within the university or other national universities such as Tripoli University and Fezzan University.
Furthermore, its tasks include:
- Organizing art exhibitions for talented students and faculty members in various artistic fields.
- Establishing theater, singing, and music groups, heritage and traditional music groups, and organizing public performances for these groups.
- Participating in university days and camps through artistic shows, cultural and intellectual competitions.
- Organizing intellectual and literary competitions in fields such as novels, short stories, poetry, articles, scientific papers, etc., and distributing honorary awards to the winners.
- Commemorating religious and national occasions by organizing artistic festivals in coordination with relevant units.
- Proposing and organizing participation in literary, cultural, and artistic conferences and events in coordination with relevant units.
- Suggesting, printing, publishing, and distributing outstanding works from cultural competitions, festivals, and artistic presentations.
- Preparing regular reports on the department’s activities.
- Undertaking other similar assignments delegated to the department.
