Sebha University: The final stage for the second consecutive day of the Sebha University Scientific Excellence Award.

The competition continued this morning, Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the Language Center auditorium in the presence of Dr. Musa May: Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, university faculty members, students, and those interested in this matter.

This stage included the evaluation, presentation, and discussion of the scientific research presented by the participants before the Scientific Committee of the award, which consisted of (8) scientific research papers, namely:

  1. Green Synthesis, Characterization, Physical Properties, and Antibacterial Activity of Silver Nanoparticles using Aqueous Extract from Ziziphus Spina-Christ: Research Type: Master’s Thesis, Presented by: Mansour Faraj Abdullah.
  2. Preparation and Characterization of ZnO Nanoparticles and their Use as Catalysts for the Production of Biodiesel by the Transesterification Reaction: Kinetic and Thermodynamic Studies Research Type: Master’s Thesis, Presented by: Salma Miftah Salim Miftah.
  3. Removal of methylene blue using balanites aegyptiaca bark powder as a low-cost and eco-friendly biosorbent Research Type: Scientific Paper, Presented by: Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed Amar.
  4. Removal of oil stains from seawater using magnetized biochar prepared from Acacia nilotica bark and Spinell oxide Research Type: Bachelor’s Thesis, Presented by: Aisha Mohamed Ahmed Al Zurouk, and Judan Yahi Abdullah Mohamed.
  5. Effect of diet supplemented with graded levels of garlic (Allium sativum L.) powder on growth performance, carcass characteristics, blood hematology, and biochemistry of broilers Research Type: Scientific Paper, Presented by: Dr. Magdy Abdelfarag Abdullah Khairallah.
  6. The inhibition performance of Tamarix material on mild steel substrate in an acidic medium Research Type: Bachelor’s Thesis, Presented by: Warda Shaha’a Musa.
  7. Enhanced oil recovery by using aluminum oxide nanoparticles supported by Arabic gum Research Type: Bachelor’s Thesis, Presented by: Sulaiman Mohammed Daabo, Nuf Hamid Zidan.
  8. Insights into the phase evolution-composition-structural aspect of silicon carbide powders prepared from natural silica sands of South Libya Research Type: Scientific Paper, Presented by: Dr. Fatima Wanis Dabia.
