The Second Conference for Postgraduate Studies

The family of the Faculty of Arts at Sebha University is pleased to host the second conference for postgraduate students in its second session. The academic family at the faculty embraces this conference due to its conviction and desire to root the spirit of serious scientific research, in order to be one of the structural components of the mindset of postgraduate students at the university. This rooting will come through the dedication of the acquisitions of critical discourse, the logic of scientific exploration, and the values of commitment, which will contribute to the formation of scientific cadres that will contribute in the medium and long term to the localization of knowledge, the renaissance of society, and the opening of the university campus to its social environment issues and challenges.

Sebha University stands as the preeminent educational institution in southern Libya, with its main campus located in the vibrant city of Sebha. Situated just a few kilometers from Sebha International Airport, it holds a central position in the region. The university's origins trace back to the establishment of the College of Education - Sebha Branch in 1976 AD, initially affiliated with the University of Tripoli. However, a pivotal moment occurred in early 1983 AD with the issuance of Resolution No. 187 of 1983 AD by the former General People’s Committee. This resolution marked the official establishment of Sebha University as an independent academic institution, dedicated to serving the educational needs of the municipalities in southern Libya.
